Subject: thank you for wonderful days in Israel

Dear Friends,
I am safe back home and I thank you all for the wonderful hospitality and friendship you and the Israeli soroptimists showed me during my stay in Israel.
I know that it was a short visit, but when I realise that I happened to drive through a big part of your country from Tel Aviv to Manot in the North and to Jerusalem in the East and that I met members from 17 out of 18 clubs in very interesting and wellorganised meetings, I think we managed well.
Once again I thank Hava for the good and efficient organising of the programme for my visit and for all the interesting projects, meetings and for all the interesting soroptimists, you introduced me to.
I was especially happy to see the Mount Carmel Center in Haifa and discuss its projects with the managers and with Fannette Modek, to see Pnina Evental's exihibition of photos of the Ethiopian Jews and to visit the project with the Ethiopian women in Rehovot, where I also had the pleasure to meet Aliya Kedem.
I was also happy to meet many outstanding and experienced soroptimists who confimred to me that the soroptimist movement in Israel is in a good shape even if you have a very hard time for the moment.

I thank all the hostesses and "sponsors" for the nice food and especaiily Etty for accomodation.
I don't remember that I never had to pay a penny during an official visit in a foreign country, so also the SI/E treasurer is happy for this aspect.
Once again thank you - all of you and give also my greetings and thanks to all whom I met and got acquainted to.
As the SI/E board members normally is getting informed about my travels I send them all a copy of this mail.
