On the occasion of granting the scholarships, we held our meeting on the premises of the School. The Headmaster, Mr. Asher Sperling, some of the teaching staff and the students, recipients of the grants, met us.
We were greeted with light refreshments at beautifully laid tables.

Mr. Sperling greeted us, and explained that the school was conceived
to fill the gap between the needs of industry for qualified technical
staff and the purpose of the Technion and other Universities, to prepare
the future researchers and leaders of Industry, by giving them the tools
for coping with the major scientific and technical problems of the futuer.
The percentage of female students is about 30%, of course not evenly divided
among the faculties. In mecanical engineering the number is nil, whereas in software
and "Interactive Communication the percentage is high.
We were given an "interactive" demonstration in the
"Interactive Communications" Classroom.

Mira told the recipient students and the staff members about the
Soroptimist International, and its federative national and local
structure.

To our surprise, The Schoolmaster, Mr. Sperling has prepared personal
Certificates of Appreciation for each of our Clubsisters.
All that remained was for Mila, our president, to wish the girls
success in their studies and their careers.
She thanked everyone who contribute to the success of the occassion,
especially to Lea Shechter, who organized the event and was the
Liason person between the school and the Club.
